Conservation work

Lockerbrook in partnership with the National Trust, values and encourages the involvement of children and young people in local conservation projects.                         Young people staying at Lockerbrook have contributed to many projects in the area, projects include drystone walling, hedge & tree planting, footpath maintenance and bracken control.

As part of your visit, arrangements can be made for groups to work on these valuable projects, group sizes are limited to 10 young people per session and the day is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon.

All sessions are run to a high standard of health and safety following Lockerbrook's codes of practice and the National Trust SAFE and SOUND guide lines.
