Farm, built in 1756 and situated in open countryside above the Ladybower
Reservoir.
An outdoor activity centre providing an exciting residential base from
which to explore the Peak District National Park.
This area of outstanding natural beauty includes coniferous and deciduous woodland, grass and heather moorland and the peat plateau of Bleaklow and Kinder Scout. Lockerbrook Centre has been providing an exciting accommodation base for groups since 1963. Lockerbrook, is owned and managed by the Woodcraft Folk. The centre provide residential and outdoor development and education for young people, youth groups,schools, public sector and voluntary organisations and companies.

The
rugged environment surrounding the Centre provides a wealth of opportunities
to enrich a school-based curriculum. Educational opportunities include;
- GCSE and A Level field studies, tourism and land use studies, study
of the Peak National Park, farm and village studies.
At Lockerbrook, through living and working together in a remote residential
situation, there are tremendous opportunities for the development of personal
and social skills.
Groups of all types can benefit from the centre's location, facilities and the experience of its staff.

a maximum of 36 people in bunk beds with bedding provided. The room arrangements are: dormitories sleeping 6, 10 and 12 people plus 4 twin rooms. The downstairs dormitory of 6 is accessible for the less able. |

| A large recreation hall with 2 table tennis tables, tables and chairs, a lounge area with facilities for making tea and coffee. This is a versatile area which is ideal for delivering the indoor element of any course. | |
| Modern kitchen / dining facilities, offering a full range of equipment with stainless steel surfaces, a catering type-6 ring gas cooker, 2 large ovens, commercial fridge, chest freezer, microwave and all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and utensils. We provide washing up liquid, tea towels, cloths and cleaning materials. All gas and electricity is included in the fees. | |
